It started because I was still wearing maternity jeans right after my daughter was born. Then when I bought a new pair of jeans a month later, I opted for a little higher waisted pair for added comfort around my C-Section scar. Now, six and a half months into motherhood and my wardrobe consists of leggings and belly button grazing jeans. I have no excuse for this behavior. It’s like every time I buy a pair of jeans, the waist keeps getting higher. First just at the waist. Then right below the belly button. I just looked down and I kid you not I can barely see said belly button. I suddenly understand: Mom jeans. I am a mom. I wear mom jeans. Mind. Blown.
